Lauren & Christian’s Classic Southern Crane Cottage Wedding
Lauren and Christian decided on Crane Cottage in Jekyll Island, Georgia, to be their wedding venue. This gorgeous Italian Renaissance-style designed venue takes you on a walk to some really splendid features and details - including a Sunken Garden, a courtyard with a fountain, a wonderful pool lawn, and even a library. Lauren and Christian, well done on the choice of your wedding venue, with the outdoor setting, the minimalistic yet elegant touch, and the beautiful decor - it couldn’t have been more dreamy.
The couple decided on an October wedding, a pleasant time to be on Jekyll Island. The day of celebration, like most weddings, started with the getting-ready session. This is often a wonderful time to photograph, especially because the anticipation and excitement of the day ahead are clearly evident on the couple’s faces. And when Lauren’s bridesmaids were helping her through her gorgeous Elle James Bridal gown, her eyes reflected the same joy! And this joy was soon doubled during the gift sharing. These small exchanges of gifts and letters between a couple’s family and the bride and groom can easily account for some of the most adorable moments. And it was a blessing to photograph this lovely part of Lauren and Christian’s wedding day. And as Lauren unfolded the heartwarming letter stating her something new, something old, something borrowed, and something blue, the curves of her lips couldn’t help but break into a warm smile and her eyes twinkled with happy tears as she soaked in every word printed in that piece of paper.
The couple planned for an outdoor wedding ceremony at the Sunken Garden. And the ambiance was just surreal - imagine a ceremony taking place amid the expanse of lush greenery. But before the couple walked down the aisle, it was time to share a quick glance during the first look. In the courtyard of the Crane Cottage when Christian turned around and set his eyes on his bride - he broke into happy tears! We immediately captured the moment on camera, and now the couple could cherish that moment forever! Soon enough, the guests arrived at the ceremony venue and under a pleasant sky and in the presence of their friends and family, they both said: “I Do”. And what followed after was - dance, cocktail, and the beginning of the couple’s new life together.
