We love capturing true emotions and photographing people in their true essence, and when it comes to family sessions, we absolutely love taking photos that everyone will look back on, even years from the day the photos were taken. Our goal is always to capture the true family bond; to photograph families as they are - especially when kids are involved. Our focus is always to ensure that our clients have the best experience and enjoy themselves when they work with us, and with family sessions, we just want everyone to come and act as they are. When our clients have fun, we have fun, and more importantly, the photos look fun and that’s exactly how we want them to remember the experience. And this is what we had in mind for the Trucco's South Carolina Family Beach Session too.

South Carolina Family Beach Session

The Trucco family told us that it was the candid nature of our photos that drew them to our brand, and that’s when we knew exactly how we were going to plan this beach family session. With 11 people to photograph - 6 adults and 5 kids - we had plenty to work with. And contrary to what many would assume, it was super easy and seamless to pose everyone. The family knew exactly what they wanted and they came prepared to give us their best angles and smiles. 

In their initial message to us, the Truccos said that they were looking for a photographer to capture their “perfectly imperfect crew”. When we finally did meet them to photograph them at Hilton Head Island, we couldn’t see the ‘imperfect’ part. There was a set of parents/grandparents, with a brother/sister and their individual families and a set of 1-year-old twins - and everyone was just so happy to be there and spend time together (yes, even the twins!). 

The lighting at the beach was so lovely and perfect for the family photos. Also, it wasn’t just the adults; even the kids were so professional when it came to posing! They gave us big, happy smiles, and that really helped us highlight the sibling bond. There was a moment when the parents helped the twins dip their toes in the water, and it was so cute! Turns out, the beach was just the right place for their family portraits. The kids really enjoyed being around the water, and when the kids are in a good mood, everything flows so smoothly. If you are in South Carolina and considering a family session too, we’d highly recommend picking a beach as the location for your photo shoot! 

Since there were kids, the family didn’t want the session to be too long, but whatever time that we did get to spend with them, we absolutely enjoyed it! The whole family was so positive and their energy was certainly contagious.
