Engagement sessions are a beautiful way for couples to spend time together and mark the beginning of a new life journey. As photographers, we love to be involved in your unique story and capture precious moments you will cherish forever. Since every couple has their own style, destination engagement shoots are a lovely way to add that extra touch of magic p to an engagement session. Lovebirds Tina and Kalan chose the dreamy Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island as their engagement session location. And even though they had to drive two hours for the shoot, each moment and photo was worth it! So to those who want a dramatic landscape to be a part of your engagement photos, a Driftwood Beach Engagement Session could be it.

Tina and Kalan's Magical Engagement Session 

Getting engaged and having the pleasure of calling one another fiancé is a special chapter in any couple's life, and Tina and Kalan made the best decision to document this new phase in their relationship. Given that Tina and Kalan are currently planning a beach wedding, they also wanted their engagement photo shoot to match the theme of their wedding day. We thought it was a pretty great idea, and like we said before, Driftwood Beach is incredibly picturesque, so it's bound to give you photos you will want to show off to friends and family. 

These two also ended up killing two birds with one stone since the couple has no photographs of the proposal. And since their loved ones wanted to see that special moment, Tina and Kalan wanted us to help them recreate it during their engagement session, which we think we did pretty successfully (more on that later).

Besides the location, Tina and Kalan's engagement session was even more special because the couple also brought along their adorable children! The kids were absolute darlings and looked cute in their outfits, standing beside their parents. And the "apple doesn't fall far from the tree" statement is 100% true in their case because even their kids were such naturals in front of the camera. Their confidence was impressive, and it was a pleasure to photograph them. In addition, their little girl in her pink tulle dress stole our hearts!

Tina wore a stunning flowy dress, the perfect beach engagement session outfit option. Kalan looked dapper in an all-black ensemble, and his son, too, matched his style! We love a twinning moment! The family of four had so much fun on Driftwood Beach, with the kids climbing on driftwood pieces and posing with their parents. The sweet family portraits are a true reflection of all four of them, with each laughing and giggling at the beach.

The weather was fantastic, and we even got to witness a gorgeous golden hour, which had just the perfect color for some beautiful golden hour pictures with our couple. With its magical backdrops, Driftwood Beach definitely helped add a dramatic angle to the engagement photos. Some of the shots legit look like they were taken in another world! 

We love a couple who isn't camera shy and likes to experiment, and Tina and Kalan made the best of the engagement location as they shared sweet kisses and explored the beach. You could see the happiness in their eyes as they whispered sweet nothings and made each other blush and laugh! Their chemistry was undeniable, which made it so simple to take romantic portraits of the two. Tina and Kalan also posed in front of a massive piece of driftwood, and we got some raw and spectacular shots of the soon-to-wed couple.

After we got everything we needed, it was time to recreate their proposal! And we have to say; these two pretty much nailed it. As Tina placed her hand on her heart, Kalan got down on one knee, and it was as if it was all happening for the first time. And as all of this happened, we ensured we covered all the angles so they could go back and share their "proposal photos" everywhere! It's one of our favorite shots from the session.
