We always aim to reveal our clients’ true essence during a family portrait session. The best part about photographing families is capturing the bond people share. The Jones family reached out to us for their family portraits session at Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island, and it was an absolute pleasure working with them.

Our clients mentioned that they went through our work online and contacted us, saying they loved our images. And as they booked a trip to Jekyll for the weekend, they wondered if we were available - and yes, we were! Driftwood Beach is a popular location for wedding and portrait photography located on the north end of Jekyll Island. The sprawling beach with the ancient driftwood trees lined up on its shore adds to its effortlessly beautiful landscape. And once we spoke and got to know the Jones family, we knew this location was the right match for them. 

Since we knew what attracted them to our work, it did not take long to plan how we would shoot their family portrait session. The Jones family was a beautiful family of four, including the parents and their two adorable daughters. Their sweet smiles and the bond the family shared just made our entire day. And trust us when we say those smiles never faded away, not even for a second.  

The lighting and weather at the beach were ideal for our photo shoot. The sun-lit landscape with the driftwood trees on the shore was perfect for getting unique and dramatic shots of the entire family. We loved how easy it was to pose them and how natural they were in front of the camera. While they were there for the photo shoot, they prioritized having a good time together, making the photographs so special. The girls had a wonderful time at the beach, smiling and laughing; they melted our hearts, and when we saw their photos, we instantly went, “awww”.

The photos of little ones with their parents came out looking so sweet. The best part was how much they all loved exploring the location. We constantly kept changing spots so we could get a variety of backdrops for the photos, and the family was total troopers about it. They were so happy about being in the water too! 

Whether it’s weddings, engagements, or family sessions - we love photographing love. And with the Jones family, the love was strong! Whether they were posing and looking into the camera or just having a good time with each other - each moment was filled with love, laughter, and warmth. We absolutely adore hearing kids giggle, and the girls were so happy throughout the shoot. Music to our ears!
