Weddings are beautiful occasions that celebrate the love and commitment that a couple shares. However, no two weddings are alike, each reflecting the unique style and personality of the couple. Some couples opt for traditional weddings, while others like to mix things up and do it their own creative way! Whatever the case may be, every wedding is just as special. And we've had the honor of capturing many weddings over the years, each being a joy to behold. Annalyse and Russell's wedding was another extraordinary event right from the start. The sweet couple threw a wedding reception at the Frog Alley Brewing Co. in Schenectady, NY, and their wedding reception pictures are proof of their exquisite taste and fun personalities.

Meet Annalyse and Russell

As wedding photographers, we love to learn about our couple's unique love story. Every couple has a different narrative about how they met and how things began. It was love at first sight for Annalyse and Russell. They met each other through mutual friends while Annalyse was still in college. The two lovebirds discovered some common interests, such as their love for live music, beer, good food, and adventures. They soon began dating each other while maintaining a long-distance relationship. A few years later, they finally moved to Chicago together, and soon enough, Russell popped the question! They eloped earlier in the year and decided on a reception at a brewery to celebrate with their loved ones. 

Each story is a mixture of romance, sweetness, and silliness, and we love looking for those little moments when we photograph our clients. When asked what drew their attention to our work, Annalyse and Russell told us how they liked how we captured candid and posed photos and our attention to detail and lighting. For us, capturing those candid moments and real interactions between a couple is what we strive for. Not only do we want to provide our couples with beautiful photos, but we also want them to have photos that tell their story. 

Annalyse and Russell's Frog Alley Brewing Wedding Reception 

Annalyse and Russell have that one-of-a-kind relationship where both love to do things their way. So after eloping and becoming husband and wife, the newlyweds threw a wedding reception at the Frog Alley Brewing in Schenectady, NY. Frog Alley Brewing is the perfect place to host a wedding reception! They have a wide variety of award-winning beers, and the taproom is also a unique space. The brick walls and exposed beams give the room a historic feel, while the large windows let in plenty of natural light. 

We started the couple's wedding photography with the getting-ready images. Annalyse did her hair while her loved ones helped put on her dress and jewelry. Then, we headed to the garden for couple and group portraits when everyone was finally ready. The sun was shining, and the flowers were in bloom. Russell and Annalyse looked absolutely stunning together. They laughed, joked, and also shared sweet kisses as Russell dipped Annalyse for some romantic couple portraits. 

Russell and Annalyse had such a relaxing and fun wedding reception. They had high-raised tables and stools outdoors at the brewery where the guests could chill and enjoy their beer and food. The best part was that we got some fantastic pictures since the reception was outdoors and the lighting was perfect! Annalyse and Russell requested for their favorite song, Rock Lobster, to be played, and we got some great shots indoors in the taproom of everyone having a good time. 

To ensure that their guests had the best time, the couple even hired an ice cream truck for their wedding reception! They both hopped on board and posed for fun pictures inside the truck. Russell and Annalyse also had an ice cream, which they fed each other, making it a perfect moment to get some candid shots. Of course, they had a blast with those sweet treats! It's always so much fun for us to see our clients let out their inner child, and capturing those moments so that they can relive them any time they want makes our job so satisfying.
