Photographing some weddings turns out to be as refreshing and enjoyable as the cool breeze. And when the venue offers a waterfront area, lush greenery, and rustic vibes, along with many more picturesque backdrops and great hospitality, the experience becomes all the more pleasant and exciting! I had that experience once again when our couple, Courtney and Mark, said their I dos at the Village Creek Landing. Oh! What an outstanding venue it is! Situated at the end of South Harrington Road in the middle of Saint Simons Island, it is a peninsula surrounded by tidal creeks and marsh on three sides. From stellar views over the Marshes of Glynn to some coastal birds flying by to the creek tide easing past, we had everything to set the mood right and make our couple’s special day even more memorable than it already was. Creating our couple’s wedding photos at this exquisite venue was so much fun, and we’re so happy that the results turned out to look exactly as we had envisioned them - a bunch of strikingly romantic light and airy images!
Village Creek Landing Wedding Photography
For their wedding, Courtney and Mark had opted for a low country brunch at the Village Creek Landing and it was so well-planned and executed. The theme was blush and navy with oyster shell accents, and the colors at the wedding were used keeping this in mind. Everything looked perfectly in sync and gelled wonderfully with the surroundings, giving the wedding images a cohesive look.
From the dresses, florals, accessories, and details to all the other decor and arrangements, everything was so beautiful and photo-worthy. We enjoyed photographing it all and also loved to witness the support and cheer that my couple received from their close ones. The guests had such a good time, and we could just see how much it mattered to our sweet couple. Especially, both our bride and groom are extremely close to their mothers, so it was great to see the moms happy and excited for their children. We also highlighted them in a few photos.
Courtney’s best friend Eric Friedrich walked her down the aisle, and it was such a heartwarming scene. We loved it and didn’t miss capturing this beautiful moment into lasting images. Before that, Courtney also did a first look for Mark, and man! What gorgeous images we got of the moment. It was so romantic, and the genuine emotions this lovely couple had for each other made the photos all the more authentic. We created more portraits of our bride and groom after that. Taking those pictures against lovely green fields at the Village Creek Landing was a pleasure. Also, the ceremony site, which was a creekside gazebo, was beautifully done up. Besides taking some close-ups, we took a few photos of it in its full glory and loved the results. After the ceremony, our couple had a first dance, dances with moms, cake cutting, and lots of partying at the reception. They also had a faux exit with cheerios.
